Day 7

Things around camp still aren’t terribly busy. Yesterday the pastry chef and the prep cook had the day off so I got to step in and be the sous chef! It was very exciting. I learned to make gnocchi from scratch, which I now plan on doing pretty much every day when I get back. My hands, however, still stained very bright magenta from cutting up beets. This may be permanent. It was chilly so later a bunch of people jumped in the sauna to warm up. Today and tomorrow are my days off, and I think I am going to go hiking with Nick.
